I placed an emergency call for pipes that had frozen and burst in my bathroom in the very early morning. I had Xavi out that same morning and he did an excellent job fixing all 3 burst pipes and making sure everything was in working order before leaving. He was very knowledgeable and was able to methodically fix everything and did a great job cleaning up all the drywall and insulation that had to be cut from the ceiling. Prices were very reasonable and I would absolutely use this company again!

He showed us exactly what the issue was (which was not what the first plumber told us it was) and how a much simpler and cheaper solution resolved the issue. We had him look at something other plumbing things while he was here and he explained how certain things worked and why. He was also open to answering a lot of questions in a nice and helpful manner. Eddy Hernandez did a great job when our AC unit stopped cooling the house. He also educated us on some basic HVAC and humidifier things that we can do ourselves to make things run smoother) and in one case with less effort on our part. They also replaced our air scrubber and helpful information related to that as well.

Jimbo and his crew promptly replaced the water heater, expansion tank, repaired the leaking pipes and valves all in one afternoon and the following morning. Jimbo was really knowledgeable and diagnosed everything that needed to be done quickly and really did amazing high quality work. I also appreciate that he was communicative during the entire process and showed me everything that was going on first hand in person.
This experience was a good reminder to stay on top of maintenance!! We ignored far too long and really the cause of the issues we experienced. Most people find us with a notice from their water utility in hand. A backflow test is a yearly check that the valve on your lawn sprinkler, fire sprinkler or pool line still stops water from flowing backward into the drinking water. Virginia's waterworks regulations call for a test when the device goes in, right after any repair, and every year after that, and the utility sends the notice to make sure it happens.
The tester hooks a calibrated gauge to the device's test cocks and shuts the water off for a few minutes. Each check valve, and the relief valve on an RPZ, has to hold its pass mark. Figure about thirty minutes a device. If it passes, the report goes where your utility wants it and you keep a copy. If it fails, you get the reason and a price first, then it's rebuilt or replaced, tested again and the passing result filed. Winter breaks more of these here than anything else, mostly above-ground PVBs that weren't drained. Backflow testing is done by our plumbing team. Nobody has mentioned a backflow test by name in a review yet, so the reviews here are that team's other jobs.
Yes, if the device is testable and your water comes from Fairfax Water, Loudoun Water, Prince William Water, Virginia American Water, Leesburg or Manassas. Arlington County is the exception: it inspects a home sprinkler system once after it's installed, and testing after that is optional.
A clock starts. Loudoun Water gives you 30 days from its notice to repair and retest, and Leesburg wants a passing report within 15 days. Most failures can be rebuilt: a worn check spring, debris on a seat, or a body cracked by a freeze. Then it's tested again, which Virginia requires.

A PVB stands up out of the ground on two pipes with a cap on top, and it's on most home sprinkler systems. An RPZ has a longer body with a relief valve underneath and sits on commercial and high-hazard lines. A double check is two check valves in a row with no relief valve, often in a box in the ground.

Only for him to tell me I had a crack I. The grout and since I was having it replaced in the 10 weeks try not to get it too wet. They don’t do the repair I needed. $49 later. A trip to Lowe’s and a guess. I’m trying to make my own repair. Not mad a te h but the company for not believing me and still charging me for something I told them was wrong and they still came out knowing they couldn’t do they job. And I had to leave work early.
