Dryer vent cleaning in Northern Virginia: “TONS of like solid dust chunks in there”

Google review, August 25, 2026 · last updated October 19, 2026

Dryer vent cleaning5 out of 5 stars

I was trying to dry my clothes, but my dryer just would not work. I believed that the heat trip was being activated, so I tried cleaning the vent myself. Well, I couldn’t get deep enough, so I had to call some professionals. They came as soon as they could, and cleaned out my dryer vent. Turned out that there was TONS of like solid dust chunks in there that was just completely blocking airflow. After that, my dryer worked fine.

Some time later they also installed a water filter under my sink so that I don’t have to drink the chlorine filled pool water the city gives us anymore. I highly recommend the swiftest of the pros!

SwiftPro's reply on GoogleThank you! Solid chunks of lint packed into a vent line is exactly what makes a dryer trip its heat limit, and it is also how dryer vent fires start, so you were right to stop and call. Glad the drinking water tastes like water now too. "The swiftest of the pros" may end up on a van.

About this job

SwiftPro's note, in our words, on the problem in this review.

Here the machine just wouldn't dry, and the owner suspected the heat trip was cutting it off.

That guess fits: shutting down partway through a load, along with towels that need a second cycle, is a classic sign of a clogged dryer vent.

The lint screen stops most of it; the rest slips past a little with each load and packs into the bends and the hood outside.

Cleaning it yourself gets the first stretch, and this owner tried, but couldn't reach deep enough.

What was in there was packed, solid chunks of dust that had shut off the airflow completely.

A real dryer vent cleaning begins with a camera, and the tech photographs what's inside and shows you.

Then a spinning brush and a vacuum work the whole length together, so the lint leaves the house instead of getting shoved deeper.

To check yours, step outside while it's running: a flap that barely lifts means the damp air is trapped.

Strong airflow at the hood with wet clothes still inside points to the appliance itself, and an appliance repair shop is who you want.

Emergency service 24/7.

Aaron is great ! He explained to me about how they clean the dryer vent, he replaced my old one with a flex type vent duct, he showed me the camera he used to see into the dryer vent. Very professional answered all my questions . Definitely 10 out of 10.
