Plumbing repair in Northern Virginia: “pipes that had frozen and burst in my bathroom”

I placed an emergency call for pipes that had frozen and burst in my bathroom in the very early morning. I had Xavi out that same morning and he did an excellent job fixing all 3 burst pipes and making sure everything was in working order before leaving. He was very knowledgeable and was able to methodically fix everything and did a great job cleaning up all the drywall and insulation that had to be cut from the ceiling. Prices were very reasonable and I would absolutely use this company again!

When a pipe bursts, shut the main off first; it's usually in the basement or crawl space near the meter, and it closes clockwise.

Close the cold valve on top of the water heater as well, so the tank can't drain itself out through the break.

This call came in the very early morning, with bathroom pipes that had frozen and burst.

There were 3 breaks here, not one, so don't assume the first drip you find is the only damage.

These ran through the ceiling, so drywall and insulation had to be cut out to reach them and then cleaned up.

Once it's repaired, turn off every tap and watch your meter for a minute; if it still creeps, there's another leak between the street and you.

Acoustic and pressure testing can locate that one before anybody opens more of the ceiling.

Turned out that there was TONS of like solid dust chunks in there that was just completely blocking airflow. After that, my dryer worked fine.
Some time later they also installed a water filter under my sink so that I don’t have to drink the chlorine filled pool water the city gives us anymore. I highly recommend the swiftest of the pros!
