New AC and furnace in Northern Virginia: “my rental’s AC went out”

Google review · last updated October 19, 2026

New systems5 out of 5 stars

SwiftPro Saved the Day!

During a 90° heat wave, my rental’s AC went out and the management company delayed action for almost a week. I reached out to several HVAC companies, and SwiftPro was the fastest and most responsive. Jazmyn immediately recognized the urgency and had Moises out that same day—even after hours. He diagnosed the issue and gave me an estimate within an hour. The new HVAC unit was ordered and installed the next day, and they even helped me secure financing while I was on vacation. I’ve never had better service. I’ve told my management company to use SwiftPro for everything from now on. Highly recommend!

About this job

SwiftPro's note, in our words, on the problem in this review.

This renter's AC died in a 90° heat wave, and the management company let it sit for almost a week.

No cooling in a heat wave is a call that can't wait.

If yours is blowing warm, go stand by the outdoor unit with the thermostat set to cool; most of the time that unit isn't running at all.

Humming without the fan spinning points to the run capacitor; dead quiet points to the contactor.

If it runs fine and the air still comes out warm, it's low on refrigerant, and low means a leak.

On this call, the diagnosis ended with new equipment instead of a fix.

The rule of thumb is age against the size of the bill: past twelve to fifteen years, with a repair costing over a third of what new equipment costs, replacing usually wins.

A dead compressor on an old R-22 system makes the call by itself.

Plenty of no-cool calls start small, a weak capacitor or a filter packed solid, and a spring tune-up is where those get caught.

Emergency service 24/7.

We just had an Amana variable speed, dual fuel heat pump / gas furnace installed. Oscar, Felix, and Elijah did a great job with installation. No issues, they answered my questions, got me set up with the thermostat app, and the system was running fine (and quietly!) right away. Good sales experience including the owner of the business reaching out to answer our questions and help us decide on the best system for our house and goals. …

Good warranty and I appreciate that SwiftPro is a locally owned business.

Heating repair5 out of 5 stars

The estimator/sales person and technicians were top notch. The estimator worked with me on the system requirements and the cost of a new heat pump system. My old system was 20 years old so that the heat pump and inside air handler had to be replaced. Also replaced the thermostat for good measure. …

The technicians did an excellent job with the install, neat and professional. The system has been working really well. Overall, I believe that I received excellent service at a reasonable cost.

Our 40 year old furnace went out during a cold snap this spring and Moises was able to replace our whole system with a Trane dual fuel furnace system that works with our solar and gas as well as new AC unit. We were delighted by the significantly reduced power consumption this summer on AC down from $500 to $75 a month! …

The whole system cost us about half of what my co-worker paid for theirs. Moises and his crew were timely, professional and kind. Later this summer, my Ecobee for controlling my mom's HAVC system went out and Moises was there within two hours to fix it. I wholeheartedly recommend Tyler, Moises and crew. I have known Tyler and Moises for years and their integrity, honesty and work ethic are exceptional. This is the trusted team I welcome into my home and fully recommend
