This is the second time we’ve worked with Alex and the SwiftPro team. Their prices are fair, they are honest and take the time to explain the options they suggest for the work we needed to have done. We needed to have a ductless min-split a/c and heat pump unit installed in a room over our garage. Edis and Rony were the two that came and did the actual install. They were friendly, took the time to show me what they needed to do and offered suggestions for parts of the job that proved to be a little more challenging. They were thorough making sure everything was installed and running well, cleaned up afterward, and walked through how to use the unit before they left. Today was 96 and felt like 110 outside and my office was a cold 73 degrees. After enduring a very hot office for the past several years, I am so grateful!

This office over the garage had been too hot for several years before a ductless mini-split went in.
Rooms like that are what these units are for: additions, sunrooms, finished attics and bonus spaces over a garage that the main system never kept comfortable.
On a 96 degree day, the room held at 73.
Each zone gets a wall-mounted head with its own thermostat, piped to an outdoor unit by a refrigerant line set, and because it's a heat pump, it warms the room in winter too.
Before you buy one, rule out the cheaper fixes: a damper that's closed, a crushed flex duct, a filter nobody's changed.
And if the whole house is uncomfortable, a single mini-split is a bandage on the wrong problem.
Once ductless is the answer, three things shape the install: the length of the line set run, which head fits the room, and the electrical circuit it needs.
Thinking about a second space someday? Price it now, since adding it later usually means another outdoor unit.
