People call about a new system for one of three reasons: the old one failed and the repair isn't worth it, it's past its years and costing more every season, or someone just handed them a replacement quote. Our rule of thumb, said out loud on the driveway: a system past twelve to fifteen years with a repair over a third of the price of a new one is usually better replaced. A cracked heat exchanger or a dead compressor on an old R-22 system ends the conversation.
A replacement starts with a free visit to your house. We measure, size the system to the house instead of copying the old nameplate, check the ductwork for crushed or kinked runs, and lay out two or three real options with the price in writing before you decide. Most installs take a full day. We put Trane first as a Trane Comfort Specialist, and also install Carrier, Rheem and Mitsubishi Electric. Gas furnaces, heat pumps, dual fuel pairs and whole furnace and AC systems all go in. Financing is available, subject to approval.
