Swift Pro gave me excellent service when my boiler needed to be replaced during the polar vortex. Alex Hittle came quickly, consultedith their boiler specialist, and replaced my boiler quickly. Alex even managed to change their schedule, with the kind permission of their other customer so that I could have heat again in the freezing weather.Alex noticed that I also needed an expansion tank for my hot water heater and installed that as well so I would be up to code. …

The boilers reviews that say the most
The ones up top say the most: the problem, how it turned out and how they were treated.
Replacement for my broken gas water boiler was professionally done and in a timely manner.
The technicians knew exactly what they were doing.
The price was a bit high and I was expecting to get a small rebate but there was none.
Thanks guys
Efrain was amazing in diagnosing and repairing our HVAC unit. Suggested additional repair that need to be done as well without being pushy like other companies.
I had the pleasure of working with Efrain and Alex last year on a Boiler heater. The quality of work and total proffesionalism contributed 100% to my decision in reaching out to Swift Pro again.
Swiftpro did a great job recommending a new system for a Condo that did not previously have one at all (Old Boiler System). The installation went great. The price was very reasonable.
What this job usually involves
Boiler calls are mostly radiators that stay cold while the boiler runs, a boiler that locks out or won't fire, a rumble like a kettle, banging in the pipes, a relief valve that drips, or water on the floor under it. Cold radiators usually mean the hot water isn't moving: a stuck circulator pump, a zone valve that won't open, or air locked in the loop. A lockout is usually a safety doing its job: low water, a flame sensor that can't see the flame, or a run of failed starts. A dripping relief valve means the pressure is climbing, most often from a waterlogged expansion tank or a fill valve that won't shut off.
Repair it when the problem is a part: a circulator pump, a zone valve, an expansion tank, a flame sensor or the controls, with the price in writing first. Replace it when the boiler itself is failing: a leaking heat exchanger or a cracked cast iron section, kettling a flush won't fix, or a big repair on a boiler past 20 years old. A cast iron boiler often runs 25 years or more, and a condensing or combi boiler 15 to 20 with yearly service. We work on hot water boilers that burn natural gas or propane, and install Navien, Weil-McLain and Force. We don't work on steam boilers or oil, and we'll tell you on the phone if yours is one.

Why are my radiators cold when the boiler is running?
The hot water isn't moving: usually a stuck circulator pump, a zone valve that won't open, or air locked in the loop. Check that the thermostat is calling for heat and the pressure gauge reads above about 12 psi. If both look right, it's a repair, and a diagnostic finds which part.
What's the rumbling sound, like a kettle?
That's kettling: water flashing to steam inside the heat exchanger, usually because scale or sludge has built up and the water can't carry the heat away fast enough. It won't fix itself, and it gets louder. A flush and a look at the water flow usually sort it out; a badly scaled heat exchanger can mean the boiler is near the end.
Why is the relief valve on my boiler dripping?
The pressure is climbing. Most home hot water boilers sit around 12 to 15 psi cold and under about 25 hot, and the relief valve opens at 30 to protect the boiler. The usual cause is a waterlogged expansion tank or a fill valve that won't shut off. Never cap or plug the relief valve.
Should I repair my boiler or replace it?
Repair it when the problem is a part: a circulator pump, a zone valve, an expansion tank, a flame sensor or the controls. Replace it when the boiler itself is failing: a leaking heat exchanger, a cracked cast iron section, or a big repair on a boiler past 20 years old. Age alone isn't a reason to replace one that heats fine.
What kinds of boilers does SwiftPro work on?
Hot water boilers that burn natural gas or propane: cast iron boilers that vent up the chimney, and condensing and combi boilers that vent out the wall. We install Navien, Weil-McLain and Force. We don't work on steam boilers or oil. Repair and replacement prices are at goswiftpro.com/boilers.
