When your AC runs but the registers blow warm, the outdoor unit usually isn't running at all.
Set the thermostat to cool, go stand next to the condenser outside, and listen.
A hum with the fan sitting still points to a failed run capacitor.
Silence means the contactor.
Both are small parts, and a service van normally carries them.
If the condenser is going fine and the air is still warm, the system's low on refrigerant, and low means a leak.
Find that leak; topping off the charge every summer just pays for it again and again.
Here the problem got sorted quickly, and the tech left a few recommendations for keeping the unit in working order.
The cheapest item on any such list is the filter, because a packed one keeps a system running all day without ever cooling the house.
